Welcome to Little Kingdom Child Care

Unlocking Curiosity

About LKCC

Little Kingdom Child Care provides early education and loving care for children between 8 months and 4 years of age. My curriculum and hands-on learning activities, which revolve around the natural world and the science of everyday living, are carefully designed to nurture the emotional, intellectual and physical growth of our kids. Through a variety of organic mediums such as sand, water, clay, soil and plant life, children are allowed to express themselves, interact with the natural world, and learn how science is applicable in their daily lives. Little Kingdom Childcare also promotes environmental sustainability through composting, recycling, and educating our youngest generation on the importance of preserving the Earth.
Little Kingdom Childcare supplies these opportunities for learning through our natural backyard space, which includes a multitude of fruit trees, flowers, grape vine, rolling hill landscape, and sand/mud play area. Our indoor space seeks to continue the beneficial effects which nature provides for children, particularly through neutral colors, natural elements. Both our outdoor and indoor environments create the soothing, organic conditions which aid in bringing children back to nature.
My mission is to allow children to develop their creativity, imagination, cognitive, and emotional strength, all by utilizing elements of the natural environment.

Testimonials

Mrs. Shijo is a wonderful care provider. She provides individualized support and instruction for each child's learning and emotional needs. She truly loves and cares for each of her children. The learning experiences that she provides are amazing! She is dedicated to the learning and development of the children in her care. We have been with Mrs. Shijo for three years and wouldn't consider leaving. My son does not need a separate preschool because of the wonderful learning that Mrs. Shijo provides. The hours are accommodating to families and the meals are nutritious. We love Little Kingdom Child Care!

We have found the perfect place for our son. Mrs. Shijo loves and cares for him like he is her own. We are so impressed with the activities she plans and the passion she shows in working with young children. We are so grateful for her compassion , dedication, knowledge, flexibility, and genuine care!
